A/Prof Dr. Edward Poon's career spans over three decades, starting in the 1980s at a restructured hospital. He has held various leadership positions, including Director of Nursing at Dover Park Hospice and Chief Nurse at Ang Mo Kio-Thye Hua Kwan Hospital and  St Luke's Elder Care. His expertise lies in palliative care, psychosocial support in hospice, and caregiver training. Dr. Poon's academic contributions include a PhD from Monash University and a Master of Science in Palliative Care from King’s College London. He is also an international trainer for the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) and has published numerous articles on palliative care and end-of-life issues.He is the chairperson of the palliative care nurses chapter under SNA
