Through her various roles at LKCMedicine (clinical communication teaching and medical humanities teaching as well as student wellbeing), she encourages medical students to practice with their heart as well as their head and to connect deeply with their patients and to themselves to stay true to the reasons they chose medicine as a career. She is a facilitator for Mindful Practice in Medicine (MPIM) and certified teacher for the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Program and the Self-Compassion for Healthcare communities SCHC). Bringing mindfulness and self-compassion to her work enables her to be more present for her students whilst enabling them to communicate more mindfully with their future patients and attend to their own wellbeing.
