Programme Description:

Developed by Shaw Heritage Arts & Wellbeing Studios (SHAW Studios), Mama Melodies is an evidence-based community singing programme for mothers with or at risk of postnatal depression, informed by the Breathe Melodies for Mums programme run by Breathe Arts Health Research, UK. The World Health Organisation supported the feasibility and implementation studies of the programme in Denmark, Italy and Romania.

Mama Melodies is the first programme informed by Melodies for Mums to be conducted outside Europe. It is facilitated by Singapore music artists, drawing on songs that resonate with our local communities, and with sensitivity to our unique culture and context.

A 10-week programme, Mama Melodies is designed to help mothers improve mood and wellbeing. Participants can connect with other mums, gain confidence, and bond with their baby in a safe and relaxed environment.
