Mr Ignatius Sim

About

Born and raised in Singapore, Ignatius is trained in contemporary dance and graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts with a Diploma in Dance in 2022. His journey in dance started at the age of 18, where he began training intensively in various movement styles, including contemporary, ballet, and improvisation. Despite starting dance as a young adult, he quickly developed a strong dedication to training and exploring dance as both an art form and a means of self-discovery. Prior to his enlistment, Ignatius also worked as a contemporary dance educator and choreographer in school recitals and competitions such as Youth Arts Festival (YAF). His win as the 1st Runner-up in “Dance Fighter” further piqued his interest in exploring putting movement together through the creative means of improvisation and choreography. He also took up Sports Massage and is learning to apply the knowledge of body mechanics to avoid training injury through safe practice and efficient movement application.  Ignatius joined Arts Fission in 2025 as a full-time dancer after he completed his National Service.
