Mrs Aisha Lozano

About

Aisha Lozano is from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music, major in Dance, from the University of the Philippines College of Music in 2018. She was an active member of the University of the Philippines Dance Company, where she performed in various local and international productions. Aisha won 3rd Prize in the 2016 CCP Ballet Competition; choreographed and danced in Juana and the Sacred Shores, a dance film featured in the 2017 Cinemalaya Film Festival and other acclaimed international dance film festivals. Aisha joined ARTS FISSION in 2019, where she learned to expand her professional range as a contemporary dance artist — performing in unconventional theatre space like site-specific locations and even taking part in dance film productions shot in vastly different terrains beyond Singapore.  Her solid grounding in classical ballet enabled her to evolve into an outstanding, dynamic performer.  With the company’s support, Aisha expanded her practice beyond the traditional role of a dancer to artistic leadership. She now serves as the company’s Assistant Rehearsal Director, oversees company training, and facilitates outreach activities that benefit seniors and children. She excels in video editing and is the official Social Media Coordinator of ARTS FISSION.
