Prof Guo Liping

About

Guo Liping has an M.A in English and a PhD in the history of science, technology and medicine. She is currently Professor of English and Dean of the School for Health Humanities, Peking University. She is the leading figure in medical humanities and narrative medicine in China and the editor-in chief of two nationally designated textbooks in these two fields of study. She has published over 60 paper in the medical humanities and narrative medicine in the last decade. Her passion is helping physicians use the tools of narrative medicine to enhance doctor-patient communication and improve patient outcome in China.
