Dr Jeanette Ignacio is an Associate Professor at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Programme Director for the Master of Science (Critical Care Nursing) programme.

She holds a PhD in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University, along with a Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She also completed a Residency in Anesthesiology and previously practiced as an anesthesiologist in Manila.

Jeanette has taught undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students as well as medical students, integrating clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and practical skills. Since joining NUS in 2008, she has pioneered the integration of high-fidelity simulation into nursing curricula, particularly in the postgraduate programme.

She has conducted simulation and teaching and learning scholarship workshops, presenting internationally in Europe, United States, and Asia. Her research interests include simulation-based education, cognitive integration, and stress management in health professions training.

A recipient of the NUS Teaching Excellence Award more than once and of educational grants, she has published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and contributed significantly to curriculum innovation.
