Mr. Kumbar is a Manager at the School of Engineering, Temasek Polytechnic. He holds Master of Technology degrees in Software Engineering and Electronics Design Technology and is a member of ISTE India. He specializes in Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, and IIoT, with a strong focus on applying smart technologies to improve lives, particularly in healthcare. He has published a paper titled "Internet Control for Intelligent Buildings" at an international conference and has conducted workshops on teaching and learning pedagogies at the International Symposium on Advances in Technology Education. He has coached students in competition projects, earning numerous awards. He also trains adult learners in IIoT specialist diploma courses, with participants from Micron Semiconductor Asia, Siemens Singapore, Yokogawa Electric Asia, and AIA Singapore. Additionally, he has delivered IoT training for staff at SingHealth and Changi Airport Group. 

His passion lies in rehabilitative healthcare technologies. He collaborates with local elderly care organizations, nursing homes, and hospitals to develop and test smart solutions. Currently, he is actively involved in projects with hospitals and rehabilitation centres, aiming to enhance patient care and recovery through technology-driven innovation.
