Sigrun has a clinical background as an emergency nurse, a Master's Degree in Health Care Sciences, and 13 years of experience in designing, delivering and implementing simulation-based initiatives in the hospital sector. 

Her simulation journey has taken her from clinical work, clinical simulation, coordinating implementation of simulation locally, regionally and nationally, to working with international colleagues. On the way she has seen and experienced success and challenges in the simulation field. 

Currently, she works as a senior advisor and course developer for simulation-based learning at the SAFER Foundation in Norway. 

Her interests are in creating simulation-based activities for all stakeholders to support learning and growth of health-care workers so they can be at their best at work and provide quality care. She has been involved in SESAM since 2010, currently as the Vice-Chair for the Scientific Committee, watching the society grow and connect globally.
