Dr Dinker R Pai is presently a Professor of Surgery and Director, Medical Simulation Centre at MGMCRI, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Puducherry, India. He is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (SSH, USA) and a Fellow of the SSH Academy Class of 2021. He is the President of the Pan Asia Simulation Society in Healthcare and a Member of the Accreditation and Certification Committees of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, USA. He is also the Founder-secretary of the Singapore Society for Healthcare simulation and National Adviser, PediSTARS simulation society. He is a Founder board member of the AsiaSPEC simulated patients' society. He holds the post of Senior Editor, Journal of Healthcare Simulation and is a member of the Editorial board member of Advances in Simulation. He has been instrumental in developing faculty development programs in various aspects of simulation pedagogy and runs several workshops in India and abroad in his capacity as International Consultant for Simulation based education. He has over 60 publications and book chapters in surgery and simulation based education.
