One of the core elements in simulation instructor training is receiving structured feedback on the facilitator behavior during simulation and debriefing. This facilitatedreflection process, guided by instructor trainers, aims to guide novice instructors in the development or improvement of their debriefing skills and ability to run simulation sessions. Here we present a pragmatic and evidence-based feedback tool for facilitator development.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize challenges in giving facilitators feedback
  2. Exchange successful approaches
  3. Explore the proposed guiding tool "SShADoW" for providing facilitator feedback
  4. Apply the proposed guiding tool "SShADoW"
