Faculty who facilitate debriefings in healthcare simulation settings can benefit from structured support for ongoing reflective practice and professional growth. This workshop introduces participants to peer coaching-- a collaborative, reflective practice that complements debriefing education. The session aims to equip participants with practical coaching skills to enhance their own debriefing practice and to coach and support junior colleagues more effectively.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe key concepts in peer coaching and their relevance to simulation debriefing.
  2. Apply coaching strategies to support reflection on debriefing practice.
  3. Conduct a structured peer coaching conversation about a debriefing experience.
  4. Develop an individualized action plan to incorporate peer coaching into participants’ local simulation programs for faculty development.
