Dr Aarthi Ravikrishnan
Senior Scientist I
Laboratory of Metagenomic Technologies and Microbial Systems
Genome Institute of Singapore
Dr. Aarthi Ravikrishnan is a Senior Scientist and Team Lead at the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), A*STAR. Her research lies at the intersection of multi-omic data integration and AI-driven modeling, with a focus on uncovering microbiome–metabolome interactions related to gut and skin aging, as well as other health conditions. She develops novel algorithms and machine learning models to integrate epidemiological and large-scale -omics datasets, advancing our understanding of how microbial communities influence human health, particularly in aging. Aarthi has published extensively in top journals, including Nature Communications, Nature Microbiology, Nature Biotechnology, and Nature Ecology & Evolution, and is also the author of a book on microbial community modeling. Her contributions have earned her several honors, including the Niche Skills Award and the Outstanding Women in Science Award from GIS. Aarthi holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where her doctoral research earned the Best Thesis Award in Data Sciences.
