Our Speakers

Andrew Ong is an Associate Professor of Medicine from Duke-NUS Medical School, and serves as a senior consultant gastroenterologist at Singapore General Hospital.

 

He is involved nationally within the Ministry of Health, Singapore, in reforming the national faculty development framework and opportunities. His other national contributions include leading the implementation and faculty development for Competency Based Medical Education/Entrustable Professional Activities within the postgraduate landscape of Singapore. He is the co-lead for the Centre of Health Education Research & Scholarship within Singhealth and also serves as the program director for the Singhealth Gastroenterology Residency Program.

 

He was awarded the Golden Apple Outstanding Young Educator in 2018 and the Distinguished Educator Award for the Singhealth Excellence Awards in 2023.
