Dr. Bruce W. Rogers is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Duke University in the division of Surgical Sciences. He is also Lead Data Scientist at the Laboratory for Transformative Administration, where his research focuses on applications of AI to improve perioperative and intraoperative efficiency, particularly with regards to patient flow. His portfolio also includes computational immunology with applications to solid organ transplant, cancer, and infectious disease. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Arizona State University and has trained in stochastic processes, optimal control, and Bayesian methods, including a post-doctoral appointment at Duke Department of Mathematics . He has been with Surgery Department for nearly 4 years and previously worked in medical device manufacturing and private consulting.
