Zhiyan is a principal data scientist at Synapxe, Data Science and AI Team. His role encompasses constant review of the entire analytics lifecycle to extract optimal value of healthcare data and keeps up with data-driven technologies to facilitate healthcare professionals in better decision-making. He has led data science teams to develop and deploy multiple data products such as machine learning models in health systems to improve population health and healthcare efficiency. Zhiyan has more than 15 years of research experience in data and biomedical science. Before joining Synapxe, Zhiyan was the Chief Scientific Computing Officer at Genome Institute of Singapore, ASTAR. He received his PhD in computational biology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University in USA.
