Hwee Hoon has been a core member of the Allergy team since the service began in 2003. She was appointed as an allergy nurse after completing her Advanced Diploma in Paediatrics. To further enhance her expertise, she obtained a Professional Certificate in Allergy Nursing from the University of South Australia.

 

Hwee Hoon played a key role in establishing the allergy clinic setting and procedure rooms, ensuring that practices are aligned with international guidelines. She has developed several nursing allergy policies and procedures (PnPs), including Management of Drug/Food Challenge Allergic Reactions, Guidelines on Drug Allergy, Management of Patients with Food Allergy in the Paediatric Ward, and Management of Patients with Known or At-Risk Latex Allergy.
