Prof Gopal Iyer leads a team of surgeons in the surgical management of head and neck cancers, as well as surgery for benign diseases in the head and neck. He also supervises research programs studying clinical and translational aspects of head and neck cancer, ranging from clinical trials, prognostic markers (clinical and translational), novel therapeutics, immune-oncology and health services research. He is the Principal Investigator of Cancer Therapeutics Research Laboratory involved in the identification of novel biomarkers guiding therapeutic decisions, identification of novel therapeutic targets and modification of conventional therapy for head and neck cancers for precision oncology.
