Dr Teo Lee Wah is an Assistant Director of Nursing and Advanced Practice Nurse with the Heart Failure Service at the National Heart Centre Singapore. She graduated from the School of Nursing in 1985 and later specialised in intensive care nursing. Dr Teo furthered her education with a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) from the University of Sydney (2001), a Master of Nursing from the National University of Singapore (2012), and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Duke University (2018). She is also a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine (2002), a Master of Science in Exercise and Nutrition Science from the University of Liverpool (2009) and played a key role in establishing the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing services at NHCS. As an educator, Dr Teo obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from Nanyang Technological University (2009) and received the Outstanding Education Award Golden Apple Award in 2018. Currently, she serves as the chairperson of the SingHealth APN Faculty Development Workgroup. In addition to her clinical roles, Dr Teo has been appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS from July 2024.
