Our Speakers

Trained in Philosophy, Bioethics, and Medical Jurisprudence, Dr Voo Teck Chuan is Head of the SingHealth Office of Ethics in Healthcare, and bioethicist with the SingHealth-Duke NUS Medical Humanities Institute. He chairs the SingHealth Ethics Network Council. Teck Chuan works on ethical issues in healthcare, biomedical research, and infectious disease emergencies, and has contributed to policy and guidance in these areas in Singapore and internationally. He sits on various national and institutional ethics committees in Singapore, including the National Medical Ethics Committee, and the Clinical Ethics Committees of Sengkang General Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He is an elected member of the Board of Directors for the International Association of Bioethics.
