Dr Yeo Tianrong is Head & Senior Consultant, Department of Neurology (NNI@TTSH) and Deputy Director Research at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI). He also holds a position of Assistant Professor at both Duke-NUS and Lee Kong Chian medical schools and is the Deputy Director of Brain Bank Singapore.

 

Dr Yeo’s clinical interest is in neuroimmunology, taking care of people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders, Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody Associated Disease, and Autoimmune Encephalitis.

 

Dr Yeo is actively involved in clinical-translational neuroimmunology research. He obtained his DPhil from the University of Oxford, studying the use of metabolomics in neuroimmunological diseases. He is an NMRC Transition and Clinician-Scientist awardee, and is currently investigating the molecular underpinnings of cortical pathology and meningeal inflammation in MS. He has presented at major regional and international MS conferences and is a member of the scientific committee for the Pan-Asian Committee for the Treatment and Research in MS. He is currently serving on the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports and has reviewed for multiple journals and funding agencies. He is also involved in the clinical and research training of medical students and residents, and has received several awards for clinical work, research and education.
