Figure 3: Light microscopy_Leica TCS SP8

The Leica TCS SP8 STED 3X functions both as a laser scanning confocal and a 3D-STED system. Equipped with a tunable white light laser (470-670nm) and a diode (405nm) laser, this system offers high flexibility in dye selection. The machine has an additional software module: LAS X Navigator. This software allows fast overview of samples, identify region of interest (ROI) instantly and automatic image stitching.

Good for imaging: Fixed tissue/cells/organoid samples, multiplex imaging, large scanning

The Nikon Spinning Disc has an Andor Zyla 4.2 sCMOScamera for fast acquisition. It is equipped with environment control devices for live cell imaging.

Good for imaging: large 3D imaging, calcium imaging, large scan imaging, live cell imaging, spinning disc confocal imaging

Light microscopy

Leica LMD 7 (laser micro-dissection)

Image 6 Leica LMD7.JPG

Figure 6: Light microscopy_Leica LMD 7

The Leica LMD 7 isolates specific regions of tissues and cells in both bright field and fluorescence illumination. Collection is by gravity to minimise contamination, thus making the LMD 7 ideal for downstream analysis. Furthermore, the LMD 7 can also do live cell cultures for cloning and re-cultivation.

Olympus High Content system

Olympus High Content system has an IX83 with Hamamatsu Orca-Fusion camera and Yokogawa spinning disc . The system has Cellsense software, scanR latest generation acquisition, Deep learning module and Olympus NoviSight 3DAnalysis Software.

Good for imaging: 3D imaging, calcium imaging, large scan imaging, live cell imaging, FRAP experiments, High content screening, Organoid imaging, Spinning disc confocal imaging.
