American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Team Science Award 2018


The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is a prestigious award that honours researchers for their global impact on cancer research. The 2018 winning team is an international collaboration led by a Singapore team comprising Professors Patrick Tan (Team Leader), Teh Bin Tin, Steve Rozen and colleagues from Duke-NUS Medical School, National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), and collaborators from Japan, Taiwan and Thailand.

The President's Science and Technology Awards are the highest honours bestowed on exceptional research scientists and engineers in Singapore, Having done extensive work in human genetics, heart muscle disease and cardiac imaging, Prof Cook currently heads a cross-disciplinary research team at Duke-NUS and the National Heart Research Institute to identify new genes and pathways for heart diseases for better therapeutic targets.
