About SREC

The Singapore Research Ethics Conference (SREC), jointly organised by NHG Health, the National University of Singapore and Singapore Health Services, will return on 23 – 24 March 2027 as an in-person conference.

Singapore's only conference dedicated to research ethics, SREC 2027 brings together voices from academia, healthcare, industry, regulatory bodies, and patient advocacy groups. It offers a unique platform for cross-sector dialogue and the exchange of practical insights and best practices among all those involved in the oversight, governance, and conduct of research.

Anchored on the theme “Reorienting Research Ethics in the Age of AI”, the conference will explore emerging ethical challenges in human subjects research including the role of artificial intelligence, regulatory and privacy considerations, and evolving issues faced by Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and researchers.

Join international and local experts across keynote presentations, plenary sessions, panel discussions, and interactive case-based discussions as we examine the latest developments in research ethics, governance, and research practice.
