SDGHI aims to position itself and Singapore as a regional hub for policy engagement and thought leadership. It strives to develop health policy excellence on important global health issues such as universal health coverage, health security and health equity.

SDGHI is a member of the consortium of research institutes/ centres led by Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health that was selected by the World Health Organisation as an APO research consortium beginning in 2020. The consortium consists of the following institutions:

SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute
Through this consortium, SDGHI will connect with regional policy makers, research institutions, civil society and international organisations to research and address important health and health policy challenges in Asia.
