SDGHI is organised around five programmatic areas, known as Cores – Policy, Research, Education and Training, Clinical, and Innovation Science. These Cores foster greater coherence and alignment of global health activities within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre; serve as a coordinating mechanism for partnerships with national, regional and global actors; and facilitate new areas of work that respond to pressing global health priorities.

How We Work
SDGHI maintains a robust partnership network of academic institutions, research entities and health systems in the region. We are committed to working with our partners to foster local talent, cultivate a strong research culture with sound operational processes, and develop sustainable clinical solutions. Within Singapore, SDGHI is collaborating with institutions in the academic, non-profit, government and private sectors to expand its work within and beyond the medical sciences to broaden its impact on global health.

Programme for Pandemic Preparedness and Response (PPPR) in the ASEAN Region
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, SDGHI launched a Programme for Pandemic Preparedness and Response (PPPR) as a key strategic initiative. The objectives of the PPPR are to establish and support research, clinical services, education and policy-related activities in the ASEAN region that advance our collective capacity for pandemic preparedness and response, and strengthen regional and international collaborations around this.
