The first Emergency Medicine ACP Study Trip actualized in January 2019 with the objective to advance Academic Medicine in Emergency Medicine specialty across the cluster for the alignment of best practices, culture building as well as knowledge and skills development. The delegation led by Academic Chair, Prof Goh Siang Hiong, embarked on a two-part study trip comprising of a three-day study visit to Duke University, Durham and a two-day study visit to Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. The first study trip was an insightful and engaging one. The delegation fulfilled the intended purpose of bringing on board different domain perspectives to instill a broader and deeper appreciation of clinical excellence in Emergency Medicine and spark closer collaboration amongst the 4 EDs in SingHealth.
