The 3rd Singapore Medical Humanities Conference showcases how arts and humanities enrich healthcare delivery and medical education. Under the theme "Nurturing the Human Connection:Caring for Both Healer and Patient", this cross-disciplinary platform offers unique regional insights and practical approaches to enhancing healthcare delivery and medical education. The Conference will be featuring distinguished speakers such as Professor Brian Hurwitz, Professor of Medicine at King's College London, who will discuss how medical anecdotes shape our understanding of healthcare experiences and patient-practitioner relationships and Professor Jeremy Sugarman, an internationally renowned bioethicist from Johns Hopkins University, Berman Institute of Bioethics, who brings his pioneering perspectives on medical ethics. Through diverse yet interconnected themes spanning social determinants of health, narrative medicine and mindful practice and more, the conference creates a unique platform for healthcare participants to enhance their practice and contribute to more compassionate healthcare delivery and medical education.
