The 3rd Singapore Medical Humanities Conference showcases how arts and humanities enrich healthcare delivery and medical education. Under the theme "Nurturing the Human Connection: Caring for Both Healer and Patient," this cross-disciplinary platform offers unique regional insights and practical approaches to enhancing healthcare delivery and medical education. Featuring experts from the Medical Humanities, Prof Brian Hurwitz and Dr Jeremy Sugarman, this gathering brings together international experts, clinicians, and educators to explore critical intersections in contemporary healthcare.The conference address's vital themes including Southeast Asian perspectives on clinical ethics and care, healthcare poverty and its impact on low-income families, and reimagining patient-healthcare partnerships. Through the symposium on Critical Humanities in Medical Education and focused sessions on narrative medicine and mindful practice, participants will engage with innovative approaches to healthcare challenges. Participants will also engage in lively discussions on topics such as Critical Humanities in Medical Education, Narrative Medicine and Mindfulness Practice.
