Through her various roles at LKCMedicine (clinical communication teaching and medical humanities teaching as well as student wellbeing), Tanya encourages medical students to practice with their heart as well as their head and to connect deeply with their patients and to themselves to stay true to the reasons they chose medicine as a career. She believes wholeheartedly that the humanities provides a language for students to navigate their developing professional identity formation as well as their understanding of patient experience.
