Synonym(s):

Date: 18 October, Saturday | Time: 09:00 - 10:00 | Venue: Academia Auditorium

Speaker: Prof Jeremy Sugarman

Programme details:

A central goal of bioethics is identifying what ought to happen in a specific situation.  Doing this well arguably necessitates engagement with the medical humanities, broadly considered. Beyond the intrinsic value of the medical humanities, this talk will explore ways that the medical humanities can facilitate recognizing morally salient features of a case and its context, determining ethically appropriate courses of action and aptly translating those actions into practice.
