Daniel is a PhD candidate working in the NTU School of Humanities Medical Humanities Research Cluster. He has a background in theatre and performance research — with particular attention to artists whose practice is based in mental health issues and uses this as a basis for his current work in the medical humanities. His PhD project focuses on first-person narratives of schizophrenia, using a variety of autobiographical and archival sources to understand the transformation of schizophrenia into a unique textual form by those who live with it.
