Medical Student Education in OBGYN ACP

OBGYN ACP seeks to establish a cohesive framework to coordinate, align and regularly review our undergrad medical education activities. Medical students are rotated into our hospitals for their core O&G postings, designed to spark interest in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, as well as fulfill curriculum needs.

i. NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSoM)

Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) is a core posting in the YLL undergraduate curriculum, primarily in their Year 4. As of AY25/26, O&G has been included in the YLLSoM Student Internship Programme (SIP), which is part of the final year (Year 5). The students posted to SingHealth are rotated to either KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH), or Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Under the guidance and teaching of our clinician educators, the postings aim to equip students with basic O&G medical knowledge and procedural skills, as well as professionalism. During this O&G posting, Year 4 students are also exposed to Neonates, as part of the "Integrated Neonatology in O&G" intiative.

ii. NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC)

Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) is a core posting in the NTU LKC undergraduate curriculum, during their 4th year. The students posted to SingHealth are rotated to KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH). Under the guidance and teaching of our clinician educators, the postings aim to equip students with basic O&G medical knowledge and procedural skills, as well as professionalism. 

iii. Duke-NUS Medical School

Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) is a core posting in the Duke-NUS postgraduate curriculum, primarily in their second year. The students posted to SingHealth are rotated to both KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH), and Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Under the guidance and teaching of our clinician educators, the postings aim to equip students with basic O&G medical knowledge and procedural skills, as well as professionalism.
