The Surgery ACP Seed Grant was introduced in 2013 by Surgery ACP with the aims to encourage exploratory and development research projects and to develop high quality clinician-scientists in Surgery ACP. This will be spurred through seed funding for budding surgeon scientists to generate preliminary data for application to cluster or national competitive research grants.
The seed grant programme is targeted especially for early-stage investigators, to provide the support they need to generate pilot data and explore novel research idea in their early and conceptual stage research.
Grant call is open yearly in January, with a 12-month grant award period from May of the year of grant call to April of the following year. There are 2 categories for grant awarding, structured as follows:

b. Open Category
