Hear from our participants:
"I have encouraged all my faculty to sign up for the Online Essentials for Clinical Education course! With a deeper understanding of clinical education, the different theories and methods of learning and teaching, one can have a variety of methods to deliver effective teaching, depending on the learners or the topic.
The course is simple to follow and the content is straight-to-the-point. There are links for further information which are useful for reading up. The information is also downloadable and hence becomes a convenient reference. After completing the four online modules, the face-to-face session allows learners to demonstrate how the principles can be applied. This component is valuable as most courses do not require one to apply the learning."
Dr Evelyn Wong
Head & Senior Consultant, Emergency Medicine, Singapore General Hospital & AMEI Pioneer Fellow
"The course has widened my understanding of teaching and learning practices related to the principles of adult learning as well as student-centred learning. With the knowledge gained, educators can better compare and contrast a range of theoretical education models and apply various teaching strategies to facilitate learning in the clinical setting. The eLearning platform allows me to retrieve and review the learning materials anywhere and anytime at my convenience."
