Recognising excellence in healthcare education
This workshop is an introductory session for budding educators to gain broad-based foundational knowledge and skills in education.
Through collaborative activities and experiential learning, workshop participants will acquire skills in planning learning modules and facilitating small group sessions, for example, conducting a learner needs analysis, constructing learning objectives, selecting education strategies and assessment methods, and using questioning techniques in facilitation. They will also gain basic concepts on programme evaluation.
During the workshop, learners will also experience how education technology (e.g. live polls/surveys, synchronous online learning tools) can be harnessed to engage learners in class.
