Overview:

This panel presentation by CGH educators highlights innovative approaches to undergraduate nursing education that move beyond fragmented teaching strategies toward integrated, longitudinal learning experiences spanning the full three years of training. These approaches aim not only to enhance clinical competence but also to develop confident, reflective, and purpose‑driven nurses who are well prepared for professional practice.

This session is anchored by a Neural Blueprint Framework, illustrating how meaningful learning is constructed across disciplines, experiences, and contexts through four interrelated domains essential to student development:

• Sense of Connectedness
• Sense of Capability
• Sense of Purpose
• Sense of Motivation

Five speakers will present innovative strategies that reimagine traditional learning paradigms and explore new educational frontiers:

Ms Sukmawati Bte Supar- Clinical Teaching Guide (CTG)
Instructional tool designed to support Clinical Instructors in guiding learners across varying stages of training, promoting personalised, developmentally appropriate, and pedagogically sound learning support.

Ms Gayathri Rajandaran - Clinical Pharmacology (CPharm)
A structured approach that enhances students’ engagement and supports deeper learning of pharmacology.

Ms Zheng Xiaoyan - Observational Learning Activity (OLA)
A cross specialty attachment grounded in Albert Bandura’s Social Learning Theory, leveraging learning through observation, modelling, and reflection to broaden clinical exposure.

Ms Sheela Devi D/O Shukul Brendra Kumar - Nursing Brainiacs: Boardgame
A gamified learning strategy designed to strengthen nursing students’ clinical knowledge while fostering engagement and 'Joy at Work' experience.

Ms Vickianne Vickneswari D/O Selvakumar - ABCs of Intravenous Medication Administration (IVAM)
An innovative foundational teaching strategies that simplifies complex IV medication principles for undergraduate students.
