Overview:

This workshop has been collaboratively developed by a senior clinical educator, psychologist, and an educationalist, to provide a dedicated space for much-needed reflection and renewal for educators. It is grounded in evidence-based wellbeing and professional development practices. Conducted in a supportive cohort setting, participants engage with peers who share similar professional journeys.

Through guided reflections, interactive discussions, and practical exercises, educators are encouraged to reconnect with their sense of purpose, explore what sustains their energy at work, and identify strategies to navigate the emotional and cognitive demands of teaching. The session integrates frameworks on energy management, identity and integrity in teaching, self-compassion, and job crafting to support participants in developing sustainable approaches to professional fulfilment.

By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created a personalised “Recharge Plan” which can serve as a resource for maintaining wellbeing and enhancing effectiveness during periods of challenge and change.

Learning Outcome(s):

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Pause to reflect, reconnect, and listen to their “inner teacher.”
2. Recognise shared stressors and challenges commonly experienced by educators.
3. Rediscover meaning and purpose in their work.
4. Apply evidence-based strategies for managing energy and sustaining wellbeing.• Develop a personalised recharge plan to support ongoing effectiveness and professional fulfilment.
