Overview:

As part of an ever-changing world, the need to cope and adapt is imperative. Feeling stressed or anxious is a rising concern for many students as they try to keep up. Many educators also experience similar sentiments as they try to cope with and support the needs of their students. This immersive "whole brain" workshop will challenge you to look past labels and explore more than just mindful practices for managing inclusive learning environments in medical, nursing, or allied healthcare education and training.

 

Learning Outcome(s):

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Unpack creativity using the elements of music for self-care
  • Understand resiliency through neuro-diverse whole person lenses
  • Apply an adapted light signaling system of co-regulating within and outside of classroom contexts to create safe and condusive environments for growth and development

 

Target Audience:

There are no prerequisites for participation in the workshop. A background in trauma safety principles will be an asset.
