Overview:
“Never ask a question unless the answer makes a difference.” This principle is valuable because it promotes research that advances knowledge. However, early-career scholars frequently encounter difficulty in formulating clear, important research questions, which can contribute to the rejection of submissions to leading health professions education journals. In this hands-on workshop, participants will be guided through a stepwise process for synthesising their literature review to maximise the likelihood of developing a research question that is both clear and consequential. To support active participation, attendees should bring an internet-enabled laptop and be prepared to conduct literature searches to interrogate their phenomenon of interest.
