A/Prof Deanna Lee Wai Ching is a Senior Consultant in General Medicine at Sengkang General Hospital, Singapore.  Her clinical interests include acute medicine, weight management, and metabolic medicine. She is deeply committed to medical education and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training.  

She currently serves as Assistant Dean at Duke-NUS Medical School and was previously the Undergraduate Director of General Medicine at Sengkang General Hospital. A/Prof Lee holds multiple leadership roles in medical education and healthcare quality improvement through the SKH Education Development Office, AMEI committees, and the Medicine ACP Committee. She is presently the Assessment Lead for the Duke-NYU Year 2 Clinical Examination, now in its fifth year.

With a Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE, Maastricht) she contributes significantly to medical education scholarship and leads initiatives in undergraduate education and faculty development. Her work has been recognized with multiple education awards and competitive grants.Beyond education, A/Prof Lee is a strong advocate in addressing obesity and metabolic disorders in Singapore. She leads the Sengkang Weight Management and Health Improvement Service (SWITCH) and is actively involved in the Singapore Association for the Study of Obesity (SASO), contributing to policy development, community engagement, and holistic obesity care nationally.
