Elizabeth Phua Yu Ling is a Nurse Educator from the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) with extensive experience in peri operative nursing and clinical education. She has 19 years of clinical experience in peri operative practice and is formally trained in peri operative nursing, providing strong foundation in peri operative practice. Within SNEC, Elizabeth is actively involved in institutional education and professional development, where she contributes to the oversight of nursing education initiatives and supports the governance of clinical training programmes.

Elizabeth is appointed as Deputy Vice Chair for Faculty Development under the College of Clinical Nursing (CCN) and contributes to the Clinical Nurse Faculty Development Programme, where she supports capacity building among clinical educators. She collaborates closely with clinical educators, preceptors, and academic partners to enhance the quality, consistency, and rigour of clinical training and assessment.

Her professional interests include workplace based assessment, assessor development, education innovation, serious gaming, and the advancement of educational technologies. She is particularly focused on fostering consistent assessment standards, while enhancing learner engagement, professional development, and patient safety within clinical practice settings. .
