Joanne has over 25 years of nursing experience, including 15 years in nursing education. Her portfolio focuses on pre-registration nursing education, where she works closely with academic institutions and clinical leaders to support and engage future nurses throughout their pre-registration training. 

She is actively involved in strengthening the education framework in SGH, ensuring high-quality clinical supervision. Through her collaboration with clinical educators, she supports their professional development, facilitate their transition into educational roles and equip them with resources needed to effectively guide future nurses. 

In recognition of her contributions to healthcare education, she was awarded the AMEI Golden Apple Award for Outstanding Educator in 2024.Joanne currently serves as the Vice-Chair in College of Clinical Nursing’s Pre-Registration Development stream and remains committed to developing a competent, confident, and practice-ready nursing workforce..
