Dr Lila Passkeren is a clinician with more than a decade experience in intermediate long term care setting and an educator with a strong interest in medical education, interprofessional learning, communication and psychologically safe learning environments within healthcare. She currently serves within the education and community healthcare space at SingHealth Community Hospitals, where she is involved in curriculum design, faculty development, and interdisciplinary education initiatives.
Her educational work focuses on person-centred care, communication in healthcare, social prescribing, and collaborative practice across multidisciplinary teams. She has designed and facilitated workshops for healthcare professionals and adult learners on topics including difficult conversations, motivational interviewing, interprofessional collaboration, and positive health behaviours. Drawing on frameworks such as Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle, the Kern Six-Step Approach, and reflective practice, she emphasizes experiential and psychologically safe approaches to learning.
As a co-facilitator for this workshop, she hopes to create an engaging and supportive space for participants to explore the role of psychological safety in fostering learning, collaboration, and meaningful conversations in healthcare teams.
