Associate Professor Nisha Chandran is a senior consultant dermatologist and the Head of the Division of Dermatology at the National University Hospital (NUH). Her clinical interests include paediatric dermatology, autoimmune and genetic blistering skin diseases, connective tissues diseases involving the skin, and medical dermatology with a special focus on chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as hidradenitis suppurativa and atopic dermatitis. 

A/Prof Chandran is passionate about educating the next generation of healthcare providers and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education. She is a member of the Dermatology Residents Advisory Committee, and was previously Associate Programme Director of the Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency for the Department of Medicine, NUH. She also serves as the Associate Chairman Medical Board (Education) as well as the Education Director in NUH.

In her roles in education and hospital administration, she champions Interprofessional Collaborative Practice, guided by her firm belief that shared and open practice amongst healthcare professionals leads to better patient outcomes, joy amongst staff and an overall more cohesive working environment in healthcare institutions.
