Sudev is a senior clinical psychologist and part of the Medical Humanities team at Changi General Hospital. He is particularly interested in Narrative Medicine and its applications in interprofessional education. This interest stems from his schooling years, when he was an avid fiction reader, an English Literature student, and a creative writing educator. He was also previously involved in the literary arts scene and has had his poetry published.

As a clinical psychologist, understanding, relating to, and navigating the complexities of the human psyche are central to his work. To this end, he is interested in the relationship between language and mental health, reflective practice, creative health, and interdisciplinary approaches to well-being. Having personally experienced the impact of the literary arts in cultivating his sensitivity to the human condition, Sudev believes in their ability to foster a more compassionate, inclusive, and equitable healthcare system.

Sudev was also recently trained as a Poetry as a Tool for Wellness facilitator by the Institute of Poetic Medicine (USA) and hopes to be able to utilise poetry to support professional and personal well-being. Clinically, he has a keen interest in, and specialises in, treating the psychological issues of underserved and minoritised communities.
