Hwee Yuan is a Critical Care trained nurse with a strong clinical background in both medical and surgical intensive care units. Driven by strong passion to develop nursing capability, she embarked on her education career in 2012 and has been actively involved in simulation-based learning since 2013. Over the years, Hwee Yuan has developed substantial expertise in postgraduate programme development, competency matrix planning, simulation-based education and faculty development.

She currently serves as Assistant Director of Nursing where she oversees postgraduate development programmes and leads initiatives that support continual professional development of nurses and interprofessional within the hospital and across SingHealth Cluster. She was recently appointed the Vice Chair for Professional Growth & Development in College of Clinical Nursing (CCN), contributing to strategic workforce development and advancing future-ready nursing practice.

In addition, she is appointed as Campus Director for the SingHealth Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS) at Sengkang General Hospital (SKH), where she ensures campus-based simulation programs are developed and conducted in accordance to standards of SSiH while managing campus operations. .
