Affectionately referred to by his initials "SQ", Dr Shanqing Yin is a human factors specialist and an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. Dr Yin has spearheaded the integration of human factors science into Singapore’s public health systems for over thirteen years. He routinely serves on independent review committees for serious patient safety incidents nationwide, and his human factors initiatives have been adopted globally.

He has a B.Sc. in Psychology and a Ph.D in Systems Engineering. He used to fly as a pilot but now satisfy his need for speed through go-karting.
