Abdul Ameen serves as a Clinical Simulation Analyst and Moulage Lead at Aga Khan University’s Centre for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME) in Karachi, Pakistan, recognized for his expertise in creating realistic medical moulage that enhances healthcare simulation training. He develops and delivers high-fidelity moulage for workshops, courses, and simulation scenarios, elevating realism and the overall effectiveness of simulation-based learning.With over four years of healthcare simulation experience, Ameen has facilitated national and international moulage workshops, including sessions at leading conferences. His work features innovative projects such as Petri dish moulages, a Knee Aspiration model, a Heel Prick simulator for newborns, ultrasound-guided training materials, and a Porta-Cath simulator.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Ameen has completed a specialized moulage course from HealthySimulation.com, is pursuing CHSOS certification, and is an active member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and Healthy Simulation. He has received multiple awards, including recognition at the SIMPACT Conference and IEEEP Smart Tech Exhibition.
At this conference, Ameen will share his expertise and innovations in moulage, focusing on how realistic simulations enhance learner engagement and clinical skill acquisition, while exploring the role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence in medical education.
