A/Prof. Yen Ching-Chiuan is a Dean’s Chair Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS), serving as Associate Professor in the Division of Industrial Design and Director of both the NUS CUTE Center and AM.NUS (Centre for Additive Manufacturing). He holds joint appointments with the Smart Systems Institute and AM.NUS, and was the founding Head of the Division of Industrial Design. 

A/Prof. Yen’s research centers on design methodologies, particularly for healthcare and interaction, and he is an advocate of interdisciplinary collaboration. He has published over 60 refereed articles and secured more than SGD 30 million in research grants. He has collaborated with leading organizations, filed over 20 patents, and achieved more than 10 technology transfers. His supervision has led student teams to win over 50 major international and regional design awards in the last decade, including the Red Dot Award and James Dyson Award.
